Marjorie Lindsey CD Release
Marjorie Lindsey is a singer-songwriter in the DFW area with a knack for creating a musical story line that both inspires the listener to move to the beat or get caught up in a deep thought process. Her music blends a delightful and approachable rock atmosphere with tones of post pop cutting through the mix. Combine that with determined and honest performances and you have the makings of an all encompassing, debut EP called Breakthrough.

It was enough of a beacon of light for this once English teacher to toss that apple on her desk into the trash, pick up a microphone, and go full time musician.

Marjorie graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Creative Writing which lends to her clever compositions. She has performed at various open mics around town with the Dallas Songwriters Association and songwriter showcases with other upcoming Dallas talent - including Six Springs Tavern, Angela’s at the Crosswalk, The Absinthe Lounge, Sundown at the Granada, Half Price Books Flagship, Dunn Bros Coffee and The Jemez Stage Stop in New Mexico. It is customary to venture out into the public at open mics to experiment with her compositions and performance.

She has also participated in the Wildflower Festival Songwriters Workshop to eager ears and joyful responses. Marjorie has been writing songs since she was 8 years old and was finally able to bring her songs to life when meeting and collaborating with her one-man hus-band who has been playing guitar for her for the last 5 years.

In late 2017 this fast moving powerhouse vocalist signed a development deal with Austin based production company Invengo Productions. Producer Joshua Rumer began the process with a trip up to Dallas to start the pre-production on the new EP. It continued with Marjorie loading up the car and heading to Austin to fine tune the instruments and begin vocal sessions which were thought provoking and taken with the seriousness of a brain surgeon. The trio began hashing out all the necessary sections of the material to fine tune the songs for a stellar production featuring the talents of guitarist Toshi Yanagi (The Jimmy Kimmel show), Austin drummer powerhouse Brian Mendes and Minneapolis bassist Ry Dill. The expertly crafted and recorded sessions were sent to Atom Smith of Klownhead for mixing and mastering which led to a stunning and formidable opponent in the indie music market.

Come out and celebrate B R E A K T H R O U G H with Marjorie Lindsey on Sunday March 10th! Available for download March 19th!
