Jelly Ellington

Jonathan “Jelly” Ellington is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter based in Austin, TX by way of the mountains of Asheville, NC. His vocals are smooth and soulful with an edgy guitar style, chiming in elements of raw and expressive blues-based rock n’ roll. Jelly has developed a reputation for exciting and untamed live performances, and has shared the stage and recorded with Grammy Award-winning artists. He has been making his mark on the Austin scene, voted Top 10 "Best Guitarist" in 2018 and 2019 Austin Chronicle Austin Music Awards.

Jelly Ellington redefines himself with his sophomore EP Butterfly. Produced by Dane Orr (Anna Wise, Sonnymoon), the four track EP takes listeners on a sonic adventure, blending gritty guitar riffs and catchy melodies with electronic beats and jazzy bass lines. The EP is a bold step in a new musical direction from Jelly’s signature blues rock style, as his classical and jazz influences shine more into the limelight in track’s like “Best of Me” and “Fade Away.” The wall of guitars and grungy chorus shout out loud his mission in this EP: growth is found in “never fearing the unknown.”

King Zero

In a time where rock and roll seems to only fall into two distinctive categories, candy sweet pop rock and ear-splitting heavy metal, the musical emotion of King Zero defiantly stands apart from both genres. Bringing a sound reminiscent of the music you grew up hearing, yet still originally fresh and inspiring, the five individuals who make up the band blend a diverse and varied background into their own unique alternative sound. – Digital Darkness

Texas Rock-n-Roll outfit King Zero’s latest single “Drive” brings back the era of straight-ahead riff-driven rock accompanied by heartfelt lyrics, melodic hooks, well-crafted songwriting, and soulful vocals that is reminiscent of artists like Tom Petty, Eagles, Faces, and with a flare of Ryan Adams. It’s King Zero’s simplicity and dynamics that’s the real treasure here. It feels as if you stumbled into a bar circa 1976 and discovered your favorite new band. – Derek Sitter
